Shannon Diez – Oil Painting

Shannon Diez in a Field of Flowers

Shannon has always been interested in flowers because her mother was a wonderful gardener and her father grew fuchsias. He also took up painting and advised Shannon to learn to draw before she tried to paint, so she decided to take night classes at the Museum Art School in Portland.

When her father passed away she inherited all of his oil painting supplies and decided that oil would be her medium.

Shannon is interested in the way flowers and plants make patterns and interesting shapes. She loves to draw with paint and see what happens as her projects unfold.
