Subject: Resident Announcement – \”Can you do me a favor\” scam
Hello Everyone!
On Saturday, February 10, residents and staff received emails with the Subject of “Favor” and the simple text of “Sorry to bother do you order from amazon?..”
If you reply to the email, the scammer will ask you buy gift cards from Amazon and send them the code on the back. Absolutely do not do this!
The good news is that this is a relatively easy “hack” to resolve. Simply change your email password and confirm that your Security Questions are still correct.
If anyone needs to help with this, IT will be available on Monday to help. Please submit a work order and we will get to you as soon as possible.
