Susan Shawn (Northeast)

Sacred Stones (Archives, 810.9), published in 2005. This book, subtitled How the Power of the Earth Can Change Your Life, includes a chapter by Susan, entitled Oracle. It’s a short piece on the Shamanic practice of rock divination, which Susan practiced deep in the US desert in New Mexico during a very modified vision quest.

Susan writes an occasional blog, Shimmering Grace: a little guide to living with a terminal diagnosis and how to find joy in the process. Her entries are deeply personal and wonderfully delightful reflections on living her life to the fullest. She says, “it seems to be morphing into a Part II: Recovery Land, and going cross country through that liminal space to what might be next: LIFE!”
