Andrea Drury — Natives

Andrea comes from a family of gardeners. Her grandmother always had a garden behind the boarding house she ran in the small town of Early, Iowa, where Andrea’s father grew up. Her dad was a gardener and both her brothers have beautiful gardens — one in Oregon City and one in Mackay, Idaho. Andrea has kept flower and vegetable gardens all her life, but now prefers her garden of native plants! She especially appreciates the support she has received from Josh and the Grounds crew.

When Andrea and Kate moved to Rose Villa in November of 2015, their cottage was surrounded by dirt and grass. Now it’s a fully Certified Backyard Habitat — a happy place for birds and bees — thick with woodland strawberry, beach daisy, snowberry, western yarrow, white spiraea, showy fleabane, red-flowering currant, two Mason bee houses, a birdbath, and more. This summer (2021) they’re expecting to see blossoms for the first time on their Mock orange, which they bought at Bosky Dell Natives two summers ago.
