Cathy Schwabe — Drawing

Cathy Schwabe (The Oaks)

Cathy Schwabe

With her retirement and move to Rose Villa, Cathy has had time to pursue her dream of writing stories for children. The character of Raton first came into her life as an unnamed adult being in a graphic story called “It’s a Rat’s Life.” Raton and friends then appeared in several children’s stories without words for a niece, whose life challenges tied to Williams Syndrome included the likelihood that she would never read well. They now appear in several of the children’s stories Cathy is creating for the grandkids.

Anne Haynes talked with Cathy about her drawings in Episode 32 of Rose Villa Today.
