Patrick Mizelle graduated from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia in 1973 with a BFA in both printmaking and painting. Much of his career has been spent in commercial art projects, from stained glass to murals to rug design, but there have been bouts of fine art production when time and economy have permitted. A number of his prints are in the collection of the Georgia Museum of Art. At Rose Villa, Patrick has so far concentrated on collage making. As he says, “It doesn’t require a lot of equipment or space, and it doesn’t smell, while still offering broad opportunities for expression.”
