Canard restaurant

by Cindy Brown

Canard, at 734 East Burnside, has no atmosphere, rather small portions, and is somewhat expensive. So why go there? Because the food is WONDERFUL! They are open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday 4-10 pm, and have a sister restaurant nearby, Le Pigeon, that is less expensive and I hear is also wonderful. I took my brother and his wife to Canard when they came to visit recently and they loved it. The restauran gives everyone an extra plate so you can share tastes.

The website is https://canardpdx.com/

You can call them at (971) 279-2356.

Update on 7/14/2022: Canard now has a branch in Oregon City! It’s at 1500 Washington Street.

Update on 7/21/2022, by Elliot McIntire: We had dinner this evening at the new Canard in Oregon City. The food was amazingly good. Since it was for Marina’s birthday we went whole hog: drinks, appetizers, entrees, dessert. All exceptional. Major complaint, it is so loud you can’t talk, and a bit pricey.
