Treasure House Tidings: Jan 16, 2022

We are happy to announce that four residents worked at the Treasure House on Saturday, learning the drill on our system of sorting and displaying donations.  Thanks to generous residents, new donations from only one week were stacked shoulder high in the garage area. Added to that were the leftovers from the Attic Treasures sale last week.  I had asked for a one hour commitment, but those scamps arrived early and stayed late, and, as a result, the garage was bare and waiting for new arrivals.  Decisions were made whether items were put on hangers to be offered for sale, were bagged up for  the “Dignity and Peace” houseless project, for Goodwll, or for the Oak Lodge Library.  We recycled metal to sell, added some eyeglasses to the Lions Club box,  and put very little in the trash.

Just a heads-up – as you continue your downsizing or tidying up, remember that our next Attic Treasures sale, on FEBRUARY 10 AND 11, will feature everything GARDEN AND TOOLS.  We have already begun to gather rolls of wire, pots (with dirt and plants!), wreath boards, a large garden cart, bird feeders, and outdoor furniture and decor.  We welcome your donations, especially in this category, between now and February 8.
Two items came in to last week’s sale on Friday and did not sell – A good-sized dog carrier and a wide upholstered footstool.  Both are on display in the Treasure House.  The hours are 1-4 PM every day but Sunday.  We have customers looking for a turkey baster, a couch, a loveseat, and some dining room chairs.  And, we have 7 side chairs like the ones in the South Main Art Room, with one on display in the Treasure House.  Let one of us know if there is something you need, or if you are interested in donating furniture.
