Subject: 11_22_23 Xfinity Comcast Package Update
Good news Rose Villa!
After several intense rounds of negotiations, Xfinity/Comcast has finally agreed to upgrade our “Basic” Package to the “Ultimate” Package that includes Root Sports for an unbelievably nominal fee increase. They are rolling this new package out to all residents right now and plan to have everyone upgraded to the new package on Monday, November 27.
There is nothing you need to do to receive this service, nor will you see a bill for the extra fee increase.
As soon as we receive the new channel guide, it will be posted on Touchtown under the Technology icon.
Unfortunately, with this deal, Rose Villa had to agree to allow extra marketing directly to you, the residents. To meet our contractual obligations, Xfinity/Comcast will be mailing you “special offer” flyers. Please feel free to recycle these flyers.
Because they will be directly marketing to you now, please DO NOT under any circumstances allow Xfinity/Comcast to install Wi-Fi/Internet for you! You already receive Internet that is faster than anything they can sell you, and doing so WILL cause major problems with the Rose Villa Wi-Fi/Internet for both yourself and your neighbors. Willamette View has this solution, and reports that it is almost useless for a large portion of their residents. Additionally, Rose Villa Tech Services will NOT support the Comcast Internet services.
