Restaurant Review: Mehri’s Cafe and Bakery

Arlin and I went to Mehri’s with Cathy Schar a few days ago. It is a modest place and looked like it was functioning with just one person around, Mehri’s son! I got the impression she does all the cooking. Bottom line, the food was just wonderful. I particularly liked the croissant bread pudding with caramel sauce, but there were plenty of other fabulous desserts to choose from, all made in house. They also had some great entrees including what Arlin said was the best meatloaf he ever had… and it was turkey! They make their own “brown bread” which you can get toasted and it’s just wonderful too. I highly recommend this little place.
